Lateral Hire Opportunities
Wooden & McLaughlin strives to exceed the commonly accepted standards of professionalism and client service. Our attorneys are talented, dedicated, and committed to helping our clients succeed. If you are looking for a new challenge and have existing clients who would be better served by you being at a new firm, please submit your resume and cover letter.

We work hard to assimilate you into the firm quickly and efficiently so you can “hit the ground running” which is beneficial for you and your clients. Each lawyer's salary is a reflection of the work they do rather than the year they graduated from law school. We evaluate lawyers on a variety of criteria, not just billable time. The firm offers a broad benefits package to all of its lawyers.

Please direct all questions or inquiries to Steve Elsner, Chief Operating Officer at selsner@woodmclaw.com.

Summer Associates
Wooden & McLaughlin's summer program is designed to give summer associates a clear picture of what it is like to practice law at Wooden & McLaughlin. Summer associates will be assigned a partner mentor and will work with both partners and associates at the firm. In addition to providing research and writing support in several practice areas, summer associates attend depositions, hearings, mediations, closings and client meetings.

We consider the summer associate program an important recruiting tool, and as such, we want each summer associate to be given the chance to show his or her capabilities by working on meaningful projects. At the same time, we want to make sure that summer associates and their spouses or significant others have the opportunity to participate in the social life of the firm in order to provide exposure to all firm members and to enhance the overall summer experience.

We conduct on-campus interviews, but accept applications from students who do not attend the schools at which we interview. We prefer candidates with ties to the Central Indiana area and who have demonstrated high academic achievement. We have filled our 2009 Summer Associate positions and will not be accepting 2010 Summer Associate applications at this time.

Please direct all questions or inquiries to Steve Elsner, Chief Operating Officer at selsner@woodmclaw.com.
