Jamie has developed a general litigation practice focused in the following areas:
- Pursuing and defending claims for personal injury and wrongful death;
- Suing on written contracts or defending contract cases;
- Seeking foreclosure on real estate serving as security for mortgage loans;
- Investigating fraud in the mortgage and insurance industries;
- Filing and litigating mechanic’s liens;
- Defending claims for violations of consumer protection statutes.
Jamie serves clients in various ways:
- Trial Practice: Jamie has served as the first-chair attorney on four trials involving contract and tort claims.
- Appeals: Jamie has prepared briefs for appeals in Indiana and Illinois and is counsel of record for the published opinion of Trustcorp Mortgage v. Metro Mortgage Co., 867 N.E.2d 203 (Indiana Court of Appeals 2007).
- Communication: Jamie especially enjoys working with clients to explain legal issues and develop practical solutions to problems.
