Brian has a general civil litigation practice with a focus in labor and employment law, products liability and contractual disputes.
In the labor and employment area, Brian has counseled and represented employers in the following areas:
- Defending employers in administrative charges before the EEOC, the U.S. Department of Labor, and state and local agencies in California, Indiana, Iowa, and Tennessee;
- Participating in trial preparation for multi-district litigation defense of a Fortune 100 employer in a high profile worker classification matter;
- Defending employers against claims of unfair competition, breach of contract, covenants not to compete, breach of fiduciary duty and misappropriation of trade secrets;
- Completing fact investigation, discovery, and on-call trial support for single plaintiff and class action litigation
Brian also has experience defending personal injury cases, including:
- Defending clients who manufacture or sell goods, equipment and other products which have been alleged to be defective and caused injury;
- Representing clients in toxic tort lawsuits, such as asbestos.
Brian’s work also includes assisting clients with a range of contract disputes.
