The list of Top Ranked Law Firms features US law firms with 21 or more attorneys in which at least 1 in 3 of their lawyers earned the AV® Preeminent™ Peer Review Rating, the highest possible rating.  An AV Preeminent certification is a testament to the fact that a lawyer's peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence. 

To compile a list of top law firms in the U.S., Lexis Nexis Martindale Hubbell researched its comprehensive database of 1 million lawyers and firms in more than 160 countries and identified U.S. law firms of 21 or more attorneys where at least one out of three lawyers achieved the AV Preeminent Peer Review Rating.  This rating indicates the rated lawIn fact, of the 254,000 firms rated by Martindale-Hubbell, only 1000 have achieved this elite status.
